Pet-Friendly Cabins in West Virginia

Pet-Friendly Cabins in West Virginia
If your planning a hike in the Blue Ridge mountains or just enjoying some of the wonderful hunting and fishing the West Virginia has to offer, bringing your pets along for the trip can be a wonderful way to add enjoyment to the experience. Many of West Virginia's state parks have cabins that are pet-friendly and charge a small refundable pet deposit. There are specific stipulations regarding pets for each property, so call ahead for additional information.

Blackwater Falls State Park

Blackwater Falls get its namesake color from a combination of the natural acid in the water and the fallen hemlock and red spruce needles. Hiking and nature photography are two of the biggest attractions of the park. The park has three pet-friendly cabins, which are rented on a first-come, first-served basis, but can be reserved up to a year in advance. Cabins must be rented for at least a week in the summer, but can be rented for shorter intervals in the rest of the year. Reservations can be made online or by telephone and credit card.
