Northampton is located in Massachusetts' Pioneer Valley, which boasts some of the state's best scenic and natural attractions. Nearby points of interest include the Mohawk Trail, a 63-mile stretch along Route 2 offering some of New England's best foliage, the Berkshire Mountains and the Connecticut River. Northampton offers a downtown rich with history, great restaurants and comfortable accommodations.

Autumn Inn, conveniently located near Paradise Pond and Smith College, is fashioned after New England accommodations of the past. The inn prides itself on it's New England "colonial" rooms and suites with kitchen which offer both interior and exterior access. Prices as of November 2009 range from $80 to $120 and the inn is non-smoking. Continental breakfast may be enjoyed in the dining room and Internet is available in the lobby. A fitness center and seasonal outdoor pool are also on-site. Downtown Northampton is only a short walking distance away.

Hotel Northampton is located in the heart of downtown Northampton. It was constructed in 1927. This ideal locale provides easy access to area restaurants, shopping and cultural activities. A current member of the Historic Hotels of America, the hotel has ties to the Wiggins Family dating back to the 1700's. Upscale accommodations include guest rooms and suites ranging from $198 to $400 as of November 2009, complimentary continental breakfast, wireless high-speed Internet and an on-site exercise room. The hotel has a no pet policy. Guests can dine in the Coolidge Park Cafe's seasonal garden terrace and enjoy views of the downtown. Dinner is served in the historical Wiggins Tavern, Tuesday through Saturday and brunch is available on Sunday.

Clarion Hotel & Conference Center, easily accessible from Interstate 91, offers guests several activities to enjoy during their stay. On-site amenities include both indoor and outdoor pools, a child-friendly pool, tennis and volleyball courts, horseshoe pits and in-room fitness equipment. Prices as of November 2009 range from $100 to $150 and free wireless Internet is available. Pets are welcome in pet approved rooms for $20 per pet, per night, for the first three nights of stay. Breakfast and lighter meals are served nightly in Montana's Tavern, located in the hotel.
