Seafood Restaurants in Portland, Maine

Seafood Restaurants in Portland, Maine
Portland, Maine, graces the Atlantic coast's rocky shores, and looks out over Portland Harbor. Just beyond the harbor, some of Maine's freshest seafood is caught on a daily basis, making it the perfect fare for local restaurants. While Portland is a mecca of eating establishments, a few stand out distinctly, thanks to their reputations for serving the most delicious and freshest seafood.

DiMillo's Floating Restaurant

Yes, the restaurant actually floats. Originally a car ferry, the restaurant used to cruise the waters of New Jersey and Delaware, and later Rhode Island. Now stationary, it houses DiMillo's, where guests know the seafood is about the best that can be found in the Portland area. Guests can even feel the rise and fall of the tide each day as the restaurant slowly adjusts to its depths.

Double lobster is a favorite feature at DiMillo's, as is the native haddock and Maine shrimp. Happy Hour Monday through Friday features free seafood and other appetizers, and rooms are available for special functions.
