Steak Restaurants in Utah

Steak Restaurants in Utah
From the thin alpine air of the Wasatch and Uintah mountain ranges, to the incredible red rock desert scenery in the south, Utah offers the great outdoors like few other places. Here, you'll find nearly any outdoor sport you could imagine. And that's before the legendary powder begins to bombard the mountains. For many, nothing quite tops off a day of play like a big cut of perfectly seared beef. Here's some perfect post-adventure steakhouses in some of the state's top outdoor destinations.

Grub Steak Restaurant, Park City

Park City is probably Utah's most well-rounded outdoor destination, combining three ski resorts with some of the best mountain biking in northern Utah. With over 100 restaurants, you'll always find the meal that you crave. In terms of steak, the Grub Steak House is an excellent choice. While the name might leave a little to be desired, the menu doesn't, offering a selection of cuts including sirloin, rib eye and tenderloin. The restaurant also offers other selections such as prime rib, elk sirloin, game dishes and fish. Combination plates let you pair your beef with another delectable menu item like prawns or chicken kabob. Live entertainment is provided on Friday and Saturday nights, and a full bar is available. Reservations are available.

Timbermine is located in Ogden, Utah, an outdoor destination that is growing in popularity. The large restaurant pays homage to the miners of our country's past with elaborate, rustic decor. You'll find a variety of steaks offered here including the Gambler, a 32-ounce porterhouse. The restaurant also offers a 22-ounce T-bone, bacon-wrapped filet, prime rib and surf and turf variants. Drinks, beer and wine are served. Timbermine is located just before Ogden Canyon, which provides access to Snowbasin and Powder Mountain ski resorts. The location is within walking distance of Bonneville Shoreline Trail, a popular hiking system in the area.

Smitty's Golden Steak, Moab

Moab has a reputation for pure adrenaline like few other places in the world. While it's known as the world mountain bike capital, the small town in southeast Utah offers far more including two national parks, rock climbing, whitewater rafting, backpacking and jeep tours. Smitty's Golden Steak is a casual restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Before hitting the trail, grab a hearty meal like Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs, then stop by with that post-ride hunger and choose from dinner selections that include Teriyaki Steak, Sirloin and Shrimp, and Rib Eye. Entrees are reasonably priced so you can expect to enjoy a hearty meal without having to pawn off your bike. Wine and beer are available.

Located conveniently to Interstate 15, Steak and Seafood offers an intimate setting with a nice selection of entrees. As the name indicates, the menu mixes a variety of fresh, innovative seafood selections with fine cuts of beef.
