From Sturbridge you can easily travel to Brimfield State Forest, Spencer State Forest, several nature sanctuaries, orchards and recreation areas. Publick House Historic Inn and Country Motor Lodge

You'll find several buildings for guests on the Publick House's 60-acre property, but pets are allowed in only one of them. For an extra $10 per night charge, one or more pets can stay with you in the Country Motor Lodge. There is no size restriction for your pets. On the property, you can hike, jog and explore the area. Depending on the season, you can enjoy tennis, swimming or cross-country skiing. Golf courses are nearby, and Old Sturbridge Village is a mile from the Inn. The country-style rooms in the Country Motor Lodge have balconies, and a walkway connects the Motor Lodge to the historic Publick House Inn. The Inn has a restaurant, a bakeshop and a tavern.

Travelodge Sturbridge

The 78-room Travelodge is located on 28 wooded acres in Sturbridge. The large field next door makes a convenient place to walk and play with your dog. An extra fee of $10 per night covers all your pets. The Travelodge is three miles from Old Sturbridge Village and is convenient to walking trails and antique shopping. The hotel features an outdoor heated pool and a fitness room. All rooms have coffee makers, and suites provide microwave ovens, mini-bars and small refrigerators. Complementary breakfast is available to all guests. Although there is not a restaurant at the Travelodge, several eateries are within a three-mile radius.

Comfort Inn and Suites Colonial

Sturbridge's Comfort Inn has 10 rooms for people with pets. The extra pet charge varies with the seasons; so, directly check with the hotel for a quote. The Capen Hill Nature Sanctuary, a 72-acre refuge for wildlife, is just four miles from the hotel. With a 10-minute drive, you can visit the grave of Grizzly Adams or the Hyland Orchard & Brewery. The Comfort Inn has a heated indoor pool and whirlpool along with a fitness center. A deluxe continental breakfast is served in the morning. Pistols Lounge is open each evening until 11:00 p.m.

Motel 6 Sturbridge

For a budget-friendly hotel with no fee for one pet, investigate the Motel 6. Pets cannot be left alone in the hotel rooms, and the hotel reserves the right to ask you to leave if your pet creates a ruckus. The hotel has an outdoor pool and offers free coffee in the morning. Children can stay with their parents for free.
