Captain Brien's Seafood and Raw Bar
Captain Brien and his family have operated this authentic New England-style fresh seafood restaurant on Marco Island since 2001. The menu is augmented with local Florida fresh choices like red snapper, grouper, and gulf shrimp. If you like your seafood still wiggling, try the variety of oysters on the half shell from the raw bar. Round out an entire evening with live entertainment at Off the Hook Comedy Club, located on site. If you're into competitive eating, Wacky Wednesday's Oyster Eating Competition might be your thing--oysters are free to all contestants. Eat as many as you can in 60 seconds and win $25.

The Islander Restaurant
Compared to what passes for "average" price on Marco Island, you should be able to get in and out of The Islander with a decent meal and glass of wine for less than what it would cost at some of the ritzier establishments down by the beach. This modest but comfortable restaurant in the Marco Town Center offers seafood, steaks, and the "Ultimate Homemade Soup and Salad Bar." which is included in the price of most of their lunch specials. For late afternoon adult refreshment, hit the Islander bar for Happy Hour from 4pm to 6pm 7 days a week. Marco Island dining doesn't often come with this modest a price tag. You can buy a dinner entrée with two sides and a trip to the salad bar for less than $15.

Cafe De' Marco
Café De Marco was established in 1983. This bistro-style restaurant was voted "The Best Seafood Restaurant" on Marco Island for six years straight, from 1996-2001, so you wouldn't be the first to choose this place for dining on Marco Island. "Bistro" is the restaurant industry's catch phrase for a small, informal place that makes extensive use of fresh, local ingredients as much as possible, and normally offers a decent wine selection as well. Café De Marco caters to the seafood lover but land lubbers are not left out. Rack of lamb, filet mignon, and a variety of chicken dishes are also available. Popular seafood standouts are jumbo prawns, Chilean sea bass, and black grouper from the local waters. Come for the intimate inside dining or time your dinner on the outdoor patio to coincide with another spectacular Florida sunset.
