Frederick W. Vanderbilt National Historic Site

Enjoy a tour of the Vanderbilt mansion and formal gardens. This historic site opens its grounds to the public each day at sunrise and closes at sunset; guided tours of the mansion are offered daily from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. As of 2009, admission for the tour of the historical house is $8 for everyone over the age of 15, while visiting the grounds is free for all.

Hudson River Maritime Museum

View a variety of exhibits from the Hudson River including photographs, artifacts, abandoned boats and steamboats. Take a self-guided tour through the museum or reserve a group appointment for a guided tour that includes narration from a museum staff member. Admission in 2009 is $5 for adults and group tours and $4 for children between the ages of 6 and 12, as well as seniors over 60. Children 5 and under are free.

Washington's Headquarters State Historic Site

Visit the headquarters that General George Washington used during the Revolutionary War. Enjoy an educational guided tour through the grounds where Washington made several significant decisions concerning American History. Admission in 2009 is $4 for adults, $3 for seniors and students and $1 for children 5 to 12. Children under 5 are free.

Yorktown Museum

Purchase your own reproductions of historic goods in the gift shop to take home. Admission is free for self-guided tours. A minimal fee is charged for group tours.
