Berlin Trails
Berlin Trails offers five bus tours. The first is the standard Berlin sightseeing tour. In 2-1/2 hours, you will see what the German capital has to offer. You should also know your way around a little better. An alternate sightseeing tour includes a visit to the city's former State Security Prison. Still not enough? Try the "Made in GDR" tour, which is a more in-depth look at life in the former East Germany.
The "Three B" tour stands for Berlin, bunker and beer. In addition to seeing Berlin, you will also visit an underground bunker built by the Nazis. You can then try and forget about the dark history with a visit to a local brewery. The Sachsenhausen tour includes a visit to one of the first concentration camps built by the Nazis, about an hour outside of Berlin.
Berlin City Tour
Tour Berlin by double-decker bus. This famous "hop on, hop off" tour takes you past all the city's beloved monuments, including Checkpoint Charlie, the Museum Island and Brandenburg Gate. The Berlin City Tour is more compact than any of the tours offered by Berlin Trails--it lasts one hour, 45 minutes, compared with Berlin Trail's 2-1/2 hour treks. So, while it's less detailed, the Berlin City Tour also offers you the freedom to jump off and explore places in more detail on your own.
Berolina Sightseeing
Berolina offers four standard tours, plus the option of chartering a bus for private tours of Berlin. The City-Circle Sightseeing tour is your basic "hop on, hop off," with stops at 15 of the city's most important sightseeing destinations. Those seeking something a bit more in-depth will want to spring for the Super Berlin Tour, which includes a visit to the GDR Museum and Berlin Story, an interactive multimedia exhibit that tells you about the German capital. The Berlin Wall Tour introduces visitors to that historical relic that once divided the city.
Finally, Berolina offers a detailed tour to Potsdam, an historic city not far from Berlin.
