Hotels in Thedford, Nebraska
The Sandhills roll across western Nebraska, hill after hill of prairie sandreed, blowout penstemon, meadowlarks and antelope. Thedford, a town of 400 people and two hotels, lies along the Sandhills Journey Scenic Byway, one of the 10 most beautiful roads in the nation, according to Charles Kuralt. The only town that offers services for nearly 30 miles, Thedford can take care of travelers' lodging, automotive, dining, beauty, grocery and hardware needs. The lodging options aren't fancy, but the community offers a friendly smile and a place to sleep.

Roadside Inn

The Roadside Inn offers standard hotel options---king and queen rooms, jacuzzi suites, smoking and nonsmoking rooms, free continental breakfast, free cable, spa and exercise room. Stu's, which offers American dining options and a bar, is one of two restaurants in the vicinity. The location at the junction of Highways 2 and 83, a mile east of Thedford, makes this hotel stand out. Instead of sirens and car horns, don't be surprised if you drift off to coyotes' yipping and wake up to meadowlarks' trilling. This hotel offers a clean, comfortable lodging option in the Sandhills.
