La Quinta Inn & Suites Conroe

After a day at Seven-Acre Wood Family Park or Splash Town Waterpark, put your feet up at the La Quinta. Nearby Lake Conroe and Sam Houston National Park have your next biking or hiking adventure and La Quinta has a nice indoor pool and hot tub to unwind after a long day on the trails. Rooms come with a microwave and refrigerator, free Internet. There's also a fitness center. Pets are welcome and there is a free Bright Side Breakfast with waffles, hot and cold cereal, muffins, fresh fruit, juice, coffee and more; Seven restaurants can be found within a one-mile radius. This upscale, lakeside hotel is exquisitely decorated, contemporary and luxurious, with spacious rooms and spectacular views. There are 445 suites in one of four types: Tower Suites are 600 square feet with lake views, separate parlors, bedrooms and private balconies; the Golf Villas are 1,350 square feet with golf course views; Lake Front Villas are 1,800 square feet with two bedrooms and a separate parlor; and the Suites are the largest, with lake and forest views, formal dining and private exercise rooms. There are several restaurants and cafes on the resort including fine French dining at Chez Roux, casual American food at Prime, Yoi Sushi Bar, healthy eating at Essence Cafe and the tropical grill Coco Cove. And you can order room service. There are two bars, a coffee shop, a golf lounge and catering. After a long day of at the lake, unwind with an array of spa services such as massages, facials and manicures. The resort has a 10,000-square-foot fitness center with high-tech equipment, fitness classes, personal trainers and nutritional assessments. There are five lighted tennis courts, racquetball courts, an 18-hole golf course and miniature golf. Go kayaking on Lake Conroe or swim at Aqua Park, home to La Toretta's multiple pools including an adult infinity pool and the Splash Scape kid's pool with an in-water playground. The resort offers Adventure Point, a kid's playtime program and The Edge, a teen-only area with overstuffed furniture and video games. Housebroken pets under 30 pounds are allowed with a $250 deposit. Luxury at La Torretta doesn't come cheap; off-peak rates are $159 to $249/night and peak rates are $199 to $483/night.
