Hofbräuhaus Pittsburgh
Designed from the original Hofbräuhaus in Munich, Germany, this Pittsburgh franchise serves traditional German cuisine and brews its own beer. The restaurant features a Bier Hall with nightly entertainment and a Bräustüberl dining room for a quieter atmosphere. Appetizers include soft pretzels, potato pancakes, fried pickles and a Bavarian cheese plate. Salads are available as an entrée or, with the house salad, as a side dish. Sausage entrees, like the beef mettwurst and pork bratwurst, come with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes. For chicken, customers can order a roasted half-chicken with a side of fried cabbage. Patrons can order beer as a light, premium or dark lager, or try the wheat variety. Seasonal beers change each month. For dessert, the Hofbräuhaus makes a Black Forest chocolate torte with cherries and cream.
