Hotels in Springdale, UT
Springdale, Utah is a tiny town sitting on the edge of Zion National Park. While larger cities like St. George and Cedar City are more well-known to southwest Utah travelers, Springdale is an unbeatable getaway for outdoor sports like mountain biking, rock climbing, hiking, canyoneering and off-roading. The town's location in Zion Canyon means that no matter where you choose to stay, you'll have incredible red rock views out your back door.

Quality Inn at Zion Park

While the Quality Inn may not sound like the most exotic destination, the Quality Inn at Zion Park offers a great location between the quaint shops and restaurants of the center of Springdale and Zion National Park. Both are just a short walk along Route 9 in either direction. The location is particularly beneficial when staying in Springdale outside of the primary season-- April to October--when the shuttle between Zion and Springdale is no longer running. Outside, there is a picnic area just behind the hotel where you can enjoy a lunch under towering red rock faces. If you're looking for a guide service, you need only walk across the street to Zion Adventure Company.

Majestic View Lodge

The Majestic View Lodge is located on the outskirts of Springdale when you first drive in on Route 9 coming from Interstate 15 and points west. While it's a bit farther from Zion, the park is still within three miles and the free Springdale Shuttle stops at the lodge during the season. The name of the lodge is more substance than advertising and you can enjoy some of the area's best views there. For those that like to wash their adventures down with a good beer, the Majestic View is also home to the Zion Canyon Brewery, the area's premier microbrewery, which offers a number of microbrews that are featured prominently at area restaurants and liquor stores. Other attractions on property include a restaurant, large gift shop and North American Wildlife Museum--if it wasn't for all the beauty and adventure waiting outside, you wouldn't even have to leave. The lodge doesn't allow dogs, but the Doggy Dude Ranch is just up the street. The lodge's location on the western end of Springdale puts it closer to the Gooseberry Mesa area, which houses some of the best mountain biking in southwest Utah (and arguably the entire country).

Cable Mountain Lodge

Cable Mountain Lodge is about as close to Zion as you can get without camping. The beautiful lodge is located at the very eastern end of Springdale just outside the gates of the national park. It is within steps of the Zion Canyon Shuttle that serves as the only means of transportation for accessing popular hikes like Angel's Landing and The Narrows during the season, when road access is closed to private vehicles. Cable Mountain Lodge is adjacent to the Zion Canyon Giant Screen Theatre, where you can view films about Zion on a 60-foot high screen. As far as accommodations, Cable Mountain Lodge offers 50 private-entry rooms with 300 thread count linens, large, flat-screen TVs and kitchens/mini-kitchens. The property also has an outdoor pool.
