Restaurants in Guilford, Connecticut
Located along the Connecticut coastline of the Long Island Shore, Guilford is a picturesque town loaded with recreational activities for the outdoor enthusiast. There are numerous parks, expansive trails, beaches, picnic areas and historic house museums among the many options. Many of the restaurants in Guilford also offer the patrons scenic views and hospitality combined with excellent food.

The Stone House Restaurant

With an exceptional location on the Guilford Marina, the Stone House is the perfect restaurant to enjoy the beautiful views while dining on some of the best food Guilford has to offer. The menu is expansive, offering local seafood favorites like the baked crab stuffed sole as well as providing the option to have any fish the restaurant has to be simply grilled, sauteed or roasted. The prices are high, and many diners choose to sit at the bar rather than the dining room for a more casual meal.

Cafe Grounded

Cafe Grounded offers a relaxing ambiance but still delivers with great food. Housed in the Quonset Hut developed during World War II, locals flock here for the weekend jazz brunch although full service American-style dinner is also served. The cafe has a large selection of gourmet coffees and teas---they do not serve alcohol; however, diners are invited to bring their own. Cafe Grounded is pet friendly and a great place to bring the kids.

The Place Restaurant

This restaurant was made for outdoor enthusiasts. All seating is outdoors where tree stumps are used as chairs and circle around an open air wood grill where all the food is cooked. Because of the outdoor location, The Place is only open from April to October and is sometimes forced to closed due to inclement weather. The corn on the cob is ordered by just about everyone as well as the lobster tails and clams. Because of the limited options with all food cooked on a grill, patrons are able to bring their own side dishes, also alcohol is not served but diners can bring their own.
