Breckenridge, Colorado was founded in 1859, along the banks of Blue River in Summit County Colorado, as a mining town. Today, Breckenridge is a popular year-round tourist destination. In warm weather, outdoor enthusiasts flock to the hiking and biking trails along the mountains, fish in the Blue River, boat in nearby Lake Dillon, horseback ride and golf. In the winter, skiing and snowboarding opportunities in Breckenridge Ski Resort keep visitors busy. If all the adrenaline pumping gets you hungry, dine at one of Breckenridge's many restaurants.

Breckenridge Brewery and Pub

Breckenridge Brewery and Pub opened its doors in February 1990 and is located in the heart of the town. The restaurant offers traditional pub fare, burgers, sandwiches, soups, salads, pastas and fresh fish. Choose from their menu of handcrafted beers or their extensive list of wine. Indoor and patio dining is available. As of November 2009, Breckenridge Brewery and Pub is open daily at 11 a.m. and has menu prices starting at $6.

Kenosha Steakhouse

Kenosha Steakhouse opened in 2004 and specializes in steaks and smoked barbecue dishes. Burgers, sandwiches and salads also make their way onto the expansive menu. Events like all-you-can-eat ribs or pig out platter may take place during your visit to Kenosha Steakhouse. Choose from dining indoors or on the deck with mountain views. As of November 2009, Kenosha Steakhouse is open daily at 11:30 a.m. and entree prices start at $13.

The Crown Cafe and Tavern

The Crown Cafe and Tavern opened its doors in May of 2001 and is located on Main Street in Breckenridge. The locally owned restaurant offers salads, sandwiches, wraps, quiches and lasagna. It also features a breakfast-all-day menu with egg, bagel and pastry options. An espresso bar, as well as a full wine, beer and liqueurs bar are available. Choose from dining on the patio, or indoors in front of the fireplace. As of November 2009, The Crown is open daily at 10 a.m. and menu prices start at $3.
