The capital of Eritrea, Asmara is a fascinatingly unusual place to visit for most westerners. Perched at an elevation of over 7,500 feet, visitors will find numerous lodging options to choose from when not haggling with traders at the Medebar Market, strolling past Italian inspired architecture or learning about Tigrinya culture.
