Filipino Restaurants in Portland, OR
Portland, Oregon is surrounded by some of the most beautiful and accessible landscape in the country. Depending on the season, popular recreational activities include biking, hiking, skiing, swimming, sailing and lots more. If you're hungry after a day of outdoor activity, Portland is full of restaurants and bars perfect for the tired athlete or adventurer. If you're craving Filipino food, there are several viable options for adventurous taste buds.

Tambayan Restaurant

Tambayan Restaurant is definitely known for large portions and "home cooked" food. This restaurant is a pleasant and affordable option, located on the outskirts of SE Portland. The most popular orders include the lumpia shanghai and dinuguan, although all of the dishes are authentic and tasty.

Teriyaki Beef Bowl

Teriyaki Beef Bowl is described as "Japanese, Filipino, Asian" food. Filipino is well-represented, however, and all the staples are available. A small restaurant in NW Portland, Teriyaki Beer Bowl offers a unique and tasty dining experience, often in the company of the owner and his friendly staff. A very affordable option, this is a good place to go if you aren't entirely sure of what you want to eat, but are curious to try Filipino fare. Try the halo halo; the bento bowls are also a delicious option.

Manila Express

Manila Express is located outside of Portland in Tigard, about a 15 minute drive from downtown without traffic. Unlike Tambayam and Teriyaki Beer Bowl, Manila Express is also a bar with pool tables and occasional live music. However, if you're looking for a fun night of dancing, drinking cocktails, and dining on Filipino food (traditional bar food is also available), this just might be the joint for you. Try the pork and chicken adobo for a tasty Filipino meal; the lumpia is also a nice meal or appetizer.
