Northport is a village that is on the North Shore of Long Island in Suffolk County. In the fall the town hosts the 10K Cow Harbor race and a 2k fun run/walk to benefit the Special Olympics. Crab Meadow Golf course is an 18-hole course with sweeping views of the North Shore. Northport is a quaint town, with a variety of antique shops and fine restaurants.

Bistro 44

Bistro 44 is an eclectic mix of continental and global cuisine with a French flair. A fun appetizer is the grilled oyster tacos, and the pa-seared filet mignon is always a good choice. The restaurant is small and cozy. It is located on Main Street in the heart of Northport.

Maroni Cuisine

Maroni's is a different type of restaurant offering only a general menu, which changes almost daily. Dining is an adventure. It is the chef's fancy as to the dinner menu on any given night. One staple that is popular are the "hot pots;" Maroni's savory meatballs and pasta served in enormous enameled pots. This is a fun, lively and popular place.

The Shipwreck Diner

A neighborhood staple, the Shipwreck Diner is a local favorite. On weekends there is usually a line waiting to get in. Breakfast includes light, fluffy omelets, blintzes and warm cornbread. Crispy, golden French fries and crab cakes are a dinner delight. The décor is reminiscent of an old ship.
