Natural attractions are also plentiful in the area. Talcott Mountain State Park and Meshomasic State Forest are both within fifteen miles of downtown Hartford, and Dinosaur State Park, which features an indoor display of fossil tracks as well as two miles of outdoor nature trails, is located in nearby Rocky Hill.
