Venetian Gardens

The Venetian Gardens area includes a series of islands with a ski beach. A community swimming pool and bathhouse is located in the garden complex. Parking is free. Skiing and boat fees range in price.

The canals surrounding Leesburg make for interesting nature observation. Tours and charters are available on any day from October through April. Fees range in price and are determined by the number of travelers, route and services requested.

Walking and Running

Leesburg hosts the Avid Runner's Club and a separate Walking Club. The runners leave from the Cardio Fit's parking lot each morning at 5:30 a.m. for a four- to five-mile route around the city. Walkers depart from the same location at 6 p.m. The events are free.

Magnolia Trail

The Magnolia Trail is part of the Leesburg Parks and Recreation Department. The specially designed course is located between Palmetto and Magnolia Streets. Exercise equipment and benches are spaced appropriately along the nearly mile long loop for activity breaks.

Leesburg Art Festival

The Leesburg Art Festival is celebrated each March in the downtown area. The showings are judged by local juries with cash awards given for prize winners. Local, regional and national artists also display and offer works for sale during the festival.
