Cabin Creek Lodge
Cabin Creek Lodge is about 30 minutes east of downtown Asheville in Black Mountain near lake Susan. The Flat Creek runs by the nine rustic cabins of the lodge. The lodge offers a playground, gazebo and outdoor activities--the focus is on the mountain air rather than modern conveniences. Each cabin has an enclosed porch and some are pet-friendly.

Mountain Springs Cabins
Mountain Springs Cabins, 30 minutes west of Asheville Mountain Springs, offers 13 different cabins, some with Jacuzzis and fireplaces. Some cabins sleep up to 16 people. Four are pet-friendly cabins, but review its pet policy for more details. It offers a recreation area with volleyball, badminton, horseshoes and a picnic pavilion. You can hike mountain trails nearby or fish in the property's stream. The cabins are open year-round.

Asheville Cabins of Willow Winds is located less than 10 minutes south of downtown Asheville in Biltmore Forrest. Willow Winds offers 25 luxury cabins, all of which include high-speed Internet, flat screen high-definition television including cable and iPhone speaker docks. Many cabins boast air conditioning, a large deck or porch, a full kitchen, floor-to-ceiling fireplace, as well as a private hot tub. Others also include a washer/dryer unit. A weight and exercise room are on the property. There are nature trails along the property as well as a private mountain stream for fishing. Pets are not allowed on the property however.

Asheville Swiss Chalets
Asheville Swiss Chalets sits on Beaucatcher Mountain, approximately five minutes from downtown Asheville. Swiss Chalets rents six luxury cabins all year round. All cabins are dog-friendly but cabins are not suitable for young children. The cabins contain breakable decorations and, in general, Swiss Chalets does not accept children under 7 or 8 years of age, although infants are welcome. You should make special arrangements with management for young children. Each cabin includes heating and air conditioning, a full kitchen and wireless Internet access. There is no private land for hiking or fishing but Swiss Chalets is close to local outdoor adventures.
