Baricelli Inn

Baricelli Inn features American and Italian cuisine in a beautiful turn of the century brownstone located in University Circle. Baricelli Inn is the recipient of numerous awards over the years. The owner and chef, Paul Minillo is passionate about cheese. He offers 60 varieties of artisanal cheeses. Diners can select a cheese board and sample several of them, or purchase some to take home. Dress is business casual. Prices are upscale. Barcelli's Inn is open for dinner nightly, except for Sunday.

Blue Point Grill

Located in the popular warehouse district in downtown Cleveland, this is Cleveland's premier seafood restaurant. Blue Point Grill has been voted Cleveland's top seafood restaurant every year, since it has opened. Blue Point Grill is open for lunch, happy hour and dinner. Prices are upscale.

Fire

The owners of Fire define the restaurant as a hot, urban, American bistro with simple foods prepared to perfection. It features wood fired cooking, with the freshest meats and fish. The restaurant supports a group of local farmers, and the menu changes every season. Fire is the recipient of several awards. It offers an outdoor patio. Guests are welcome to bring their own wine, although a corkage fee is charged.

Dress is business casual. It is open for lunch, happy hour and dinner every day, but Monday. Fire also offers a Sunday brunch. Prices are upscale.

L'Albatros

This restaurant offers classic French cuisine as well as wood fired pizza in a rustic carriage house, located in University Circle, near the Cleveland Orchestra and Cleveland Museum of Art. It features 25 different brands of beer and an extensive wine list. It is open for lunch and dinner every day except Sunday. Thursday through Saturday night it is open until midnight for a late night bite. Dress is smart casual and price is competitive.

Lola

Lola has become arguably the most popular restaurant in the Cleveland area, due in some part to the fact that the executive chef here is Michael Symon. Symon is familiar to many as a regular on the Food Network, including being named as an Iron Chef. Additionally, "Food and Wine" magazine has named him as one of the top 10 chefs in the United States. Lola is the recipient of numerous awards. The menu is American, creative and impeccably done. Lola is open for lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday. Dress is business casual. Prices are upscale.

Lolita

Lolita is another Micheal Symon owned restaurant. It is an American bistro, which is slightly more causal than Lola. It is located in the restored Tremont area, which is rich with art galleries and boutiques. On Tuesday night, year-round the restaurant features a pig roast. Other specialties here are gourmet pizzas and specially cured meats. Symon also offers cooking classes here, which sell out. It is open for dinner Tuesday through Sunday. Dress is casual. Prices are competitive.

Michaelangelo's

In the heart of Little Italy near University Circle, is the leading Italian restaurant in Cleveland. It has won numerous awards and is considered quite romantic with a wood burning fireplace. The menu features both wine and food from Italy. It has a wonderful wine selection, but diners may bring their own wine and a cork fee is charged. Dress is business casual. Dinner is served weekdays except Sunday. The wine bar is open until 1 a.m. Price is upscale.

San Souci

San Souci is an elegant restaurant located in the Renaissance Hotel on Public Square in Cleveland. It features the cuisine from the southeastern portion of France, known as Provence. Savrá

This relatively new restaurant in Shaker Heights has become very popular. The recipient of a wide variety of awards, Savrá features Brazilian cuisine. It offers 120 seats on an outdoor patio with live music to offer the feel of Rio's Copacabana Beach. There is an extensive raw bar and a bar with "small plates" designed for sharing and trying a variety of foods. Additionally, it seats until midnight on Friday and Saturday night, making this a perfect place for a late night meal. Dress is casual and the price is competitive.
