Prince Georges County is one of the most populated counties in Maryland. It borders the east side of Washington D.C. and has many businesses and activities for visitors. For those who like the outdoors, there are a number of hiking and biking trails including the Anacostia Trails Heritage Area and Chesapeake Bay Critical Area Tour. The county also has a wide variety of restaurants from retail chains to little mom-and-pop diners.

Moon Bay offers a variety of high-end seafood dishes, though Maryland crabs and oysters are still part of the menu. You will also find lobster, clams, fish, sushi and sashimi on the menu. You can either look out on the Potomac River or watch chefs prepare meals in the show kitchen.

Jerry's Seafood

Jerry's Seafood is a small restaurant chain with three locations, two of which are in Prince Georges County--one in Lanham and one in Bowie. The restaurants are open for lunch and dinner. Jerry's Seafood has been around since 1983, offering quality crab cakes, fresh fish, homemade soups and distinctive seafood dishes like the "crab bomb." The dinner entrees range from $23 to $36.

Rip's Country Inn

Rip's is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Though you can find more than seafood there, Rip's is known for its seafood specialties that include tilapia Chesapeake, Maryland crab cakes and stuffed flounder. Nearly all of the seafood entrees are under $20. The restaurant's décor pays homage to the area's horse racing heritage with booths that are constructed like horse stalls.

EJ's Landing

EJ's Landing is open for lunch and dinner. The restaurant serves more than seafood, but it is popular for it seafood entrees, all of which are under $20. The seafood menu includes crab cakes, shrimp and fish. You can also find live music provided by local bands on Friday nights.
