Cazenovia is a pretty little town a few miles east of Syracuse, New York. It has long been an escape from the city and has quaint shops, markets, and many restaurants, from fast food to upscale eateries.

The Brae Loch Inn

The Brae Loch Inn, off Albany Street, Cazenovia, has enjoyed a reputation for its Sunday brunch. With its heritage steeped in old Scotland, the Brae Loch's restaurant feels like an old Scottish pub with its decor. Their brunch is billed as the famous Scottish brunch, and reservations are recommended. The restaurant menu varies from Scotch smoked salmon appetizer to pasta, chicken, seafood and Continental fare. An impressive wine list complements the menu, and the desert selection rounds the meals perfectly.

The Brewster Inn

Not far from the Brae Loch on the lake shores is the historic Brewster Inn. Upscale and intimate, the menu includes Thai Calamari, Baby Beets, and Blue Hill Bay Mussels for appetizers. Entrees include the house Veal Atlantis, Pan Seared Tournedos of Beef, and Truffle Encrusted Big Eye Tuna. Their Head Chef is a graduate of the New England Culinary School and the Sous Chef a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. Reservations are recommended for Friday and Saturday evening dining.

The Lincklaen House

The Lincklaen House offers diners everything from Pub Fare at their Seven Stone Steps Pub to "casual elegant" dining in the main restaurant. Chicken Wild Rice Risotto, Beef Tenderloin and Sauteed Veal and Seafood round out the entree menu. Appetizers include Seafood Bisque and Baked Escargot.

A great selection of casual dininig eateries complement the upscale restaurants in Cazenovia. Albert's on Main offers family fare and menu, Cazenovia Pizzeria offers authentic New York style pizza and pasta, Dave's Diner at Common Grounds offers sandwiches, salads, soups and pastries as well as a full coffee and espresso menu. For fast food seekers, Cazenovia has a McDonald's and a Subway.
