Number 5 Restaurant
The Number 5 Restaurant has been serving Broom County since 1978. The building it resides in was built in 1897 to house Binghamton's fire station number five. The restaurant offers a fine dining experience, and a lounge that is suitable for celebrating special occasions or hosting important meetings. Menu offerings include aged steaks, fresh seafood and homemade desserts. Number 5 also caters to vegetarians with a selection of grilled vegetable strudels, pastas and fettuccine primavera. Whole in the Wall
The Whole in the Wall was founded in 1980, and is a whole foods restaurant that specializes in gourmet vegan, vegetarian, and organic dishes. The small cafe is renowned for its specialty pesto, which is bottled, and sold at a variety of markets, and shops. This Broom County restaurant is based upon progressive and eclectic themes, and even the structure is made out of recycled materials. Some of their menu staple items are the stir fried vegetables, the tempura, and the quiche. All meats can be substituted with tofu instead. Whole in the Wall also offers a full take-out menu and free delivery three days a week.
