Steakhouses in Mississippi

Steakhouses in Mississippi
Outdoor enthusiasts will find plenty of adventure throughout the state of Mississippi, from hiking on the 13-mile stretch of the Appalachian Trail, to canoeing Gulf Island National Seashore, kayaking the waters around Horn Island or angling for game fish in the Gulf of Mexico. Of course, playing outside can really work up an appetite. Sure, there are fancy bistros, seafood shacks and gourmet, new-age eateries throughout the Magnolia State. But when you're really craving meat, head to one of these top-rated steakhouses in Mississippi.

Prime: A Steakhouse

Carnivores will think they've died and gone to heaven when they sink their teeth into Prime's melt-in-your-mouth bone-in cowboy rib-eye, topped off with the house-made Worcestershire sauce. Begin with the flash fried calamari or the crab cakes with fried green tomatoes, followed with the wedge of iceberg lettuce salad. These will be nice primers for the piece-de-la-resistance: the oh-so tenderly aged meat. There's chicken and salmon entrees, too, but really, why bother? The setting is classy, with white linen-topped tables, black lacquered chairs, subtle lighting and efficient, professional service.

Lb's Steakhouse

You've just hit the jackpot at the slots, scored at the blackjack table or won big at bingo, now it's time to treat yourself. Head to this award-winning Mississippi steakhouse in the Grand Biloxi Casino. The dining room has a quiet, elegant vibe and is an oasis amid the noisy and bustling casino floor. The marinated lamb lollipops with sweet potato mash and the blackened shrimp with jalapeno cornbread are popular starters. Popular cuts of meat are offered as entrees, including strips, ribeyes and filet mignon. If you're really craving meat, order the 32 oz. porterhouse, and ask for a doggy bag.

You can smell the charcoal pits and the steaks grilling from a block away. This Mississippi steakhouse restaurant is located in an historic 125-year-old mercantile building in Como, with brick walls and warm woods.
