Grand Island, New York Hotels

Grand Island, New York Hotels
Grand Island, New York is located halfway between Buffalo, New York and Niagara Falls. Home to state parks, an amusement park and historic locations alike, Grand Island is the largest island in the Niagara River. Outdoor enthusiasts may come here to visit Beaver Island State Park, located on the southern tip of the island, or Buckhead Island State Park located on the northern end. Beaver Park is noted for its many recreational options, such as a full 18-hole golf course whereas Buckhead Park is more of an environmental preserve. And don't forget Martin's Fantasy Island, perfect for families, stocked with roller coasters, water rides and traditional fair rides. Although not a particularly large island, there are a few hotel options located directly on the island.

Chateau Motor Lodge

The Chateau Motor Lodge considers itself Grand Island's favorite motel. Located just 10 minutes from Niagara Falls, with affordable rates and cozy rooms, who can blame them. They are pet friendly and rooms include the standard amenities, including a full-size refrigerator, microwave, wireless Internet and HBO on the television. The Chateau Motor Lodge is perfect for families too, since you can get rooms that include up to 3 beds.

Falls Motels

Though not located directly on Grand Island, the Falls Motel is located just north and a short drive away from the island. They offer clean, basic rooms at a competitive rate with a family-friendly atmosphere. Rooms are not packed full of amenities because it is their belief that you are visiting to see the great outdoors, not sit in the room. Rooms include beds, a refrigerator, a microwave, a coffee maker and cable television. They also offer complimentary shuttle service to the Niagara Falls area.
