Meridian is the third largest city in the state of Idaho, with a population of approximately 65,000 people, according to 2007 estimates by the U.S. Census Bureau. Located in the north central part of Treasure Valley, the geography is composed mostly of flat, wide-open plains, while the Boise River flows past the city's north end.
