Just off the Florida panhandle's coastline runs a narrow sandy strip of beaches known as Santa Rosa Island. Only a half-mile via causeway from the mainland, Navarre Beach is situated at the island's center. Pensacola Beach is its neighbor on the western-most portion of the island and on the east is neighboring Okaloosa Island---home of Fort Walton Beach and Destin, Florida. Beachcombers and ocean-lovers will find accommodations in nearby Pensacola Beach when they choose Navarre Beach as their destination.

The Best Western Navarre

This hotel is named Best Western Navarre Beach, but it is not on Navarre Beach proper, but in the mainland city of Navarre. Situated at the edge of the Intracoastal Waterway, Best Western is the closest via the causeway. Complimentary continental breakfast is available at the hotel and several restaurants are a short distance away, as is shopping and the Navarre Sandwalk Park. Guest rooms have cable television, microwave, mini-refrigerator, high-sped Internet, hair dryer, coffee/tea maker and iron/ironing board. The outdoor pool sits overlooking the waterway and Santa Rosa Island beyond. For adventure-seeking guests the hotel states there is fishing and water-sports available in the area.

The SpringHill is 16 miles due west of Navarre Beach proper on Santa Rosa Island in nearby Pensacola Beach. Beachfront, full-service accommodations are what this Hilton is offering guests 16 miles west on the same sandy-white beaches of Santa Rosa Island as its neighbor Navarre Beach. This hotel offers on-site valet for a fee, free self-parking, gift shop, pool, fitness center, coin-laundry, news stand, baggage storage and safety deposit boxes. A unique blend of Asian-Cajun cuisine is the specialty of one of the Hilton's restaurants, while the other offers up sushi. Room service is available and the outdoor bar offers drinks and alfresco dining weather permitting. According to the hotel, there is snorkeling, a hiking trail and fishing within walking distance. No pets are allowed at this location.
