Guests are welcome to camp on-site, but those visiting for the day can enjoy hiking, boating, fishing and horseback riding. In addition to the 4 miles of hiking trails at Battle Ground Lake State Park, there are 5 miles of trails available for horseback riders. There is also play park equipment on-site to occupy children, along with picnic shelters and public restroom facilities.

Cherry Neighborhood Park

Cherry Neighborhood Park is a outstanding place to spend a day outdoors with the family. The park sits on 3-acres of land and includes a playground for children to enjoy. There is also a half-court basketball court, so guests can enjoy a relaxing game, with benches conveniently situated to watch the children play and a loop hiking trail for guests to enjoy. The loop hiking trail is a great place for children to experience hiking without the strain of a long walk.

Vancouver Lake Park

Located only 3 miles from downtown Vancouver, Vancouver Lake Park boasts glorious views of Mt. Adams, Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Hood. The park has a kid's playground to entertain children and offers swimming in a roped off area of the lake. The wide, open, sunny areas of the park are perfect for picnics or games of Frisbee, while shade can be found among the many trees in the area. The lake itself is an excellent place for various water sports including, canoeing, kayaking and wind surfing.
