Hotels & Motels in Globe, Arizona
Globe and Miami are sister communities about seven miles apart at the foot of the Pinal Mountains in east central Arizona. The communities act as a gateway for the hiking enthusiasts and others ready to explore the Pinal Mountains. Located in southern Gila County, the communities are about an hour and half east of Phoenix and in a canyon meant for mining and enjoying the beauty of the high country desert. Copper mining and its support professions are still the main employers in the county and visitors should expect to find a variety of things to do in this gateway to the Pinal Mountains. Local Native American Tribes and the Hispanic culture are evident here in the art and pastimes of Globe and Miami. Highway 60 may seem off the beaten path, but that doesn't mean visitors need to sacrifice the comforts of modern society.
