Hotels Near Kingman, Arizona
Kingman is a town with an enviable location. The west end of the Grand Canyon is about an hour to the north, the Lake Mead National Recreation Area is less than an hour to the west and northwest, and the town itself stretches along historic Route 66 with local recreation areas within easy reach. Fortunately for active travelers, there are several hotels in and around Kingman to serve as base camps for outdoor adventures.

Hotel Brunswick

Kingman has a number of modern hotels and motels, many lining Route 66 at the northeastern entrance to town. For a historic lodging experience with a youthful vibe, head to the Hotel Brunswick in the heart of downtown. This 100-year-old, Old West-flavored hotel has 15 rooms with private bath, as well as another nine "cowboy" and "cowgirl" rooms with shared baths that the hotel says are "ideal for the budget minded." It's been run since 2006 by owners Jason and Jennifer Pfaff, a young couple who relocated from coastal Mississippi after Hurricane Katrina.

Hotel Brunswick also offers convenient access to the Cerbat Foothills Recreation Area, just three miles away. The recreation area is home to the Camp Beale Loop Trail, a 3.2-mile loop up and over a mesa viewpoint that's open to hikers, mountain bikers and equestrians. And if you need to gear up before hitting the trail, the Brunswick is three blocks away from local outfitters Outdoor Creations Supply.
