Sardis Road meanders through Charlotte's southeast side, a residential area filled mostly with businesses. The nearby McAlpine Creek Park is a greenway with cross-country ski and nature trails, trees and open green spaces. Just off of Sardis Road is the popular Inner Peaks Climbing Center, which offers world-class climbing all year-round. Downtown Charlotte is reachable in 15 minutes by car. As of 2009 there is only one hotel located on Sardis Road, however there are others within walking distance.
