Bus Trips to Atlantic City From Baltimore

Bus Trips to Atlantic City From Baltimore
Atlantic City is synonymous with casinos, which is why companies offering bus tours there from Baltimore orient their excursions around gambling. But that doesn't mean you can't stretch your legs a little while you're there--or even charter your own bus tour with a significant outdoor component to it. With local hikes like the Brigantine Island Trail or bike routes like the Jersey Devil Run in nearby Smithville, Atlantic City has plenty of outdoors fun to add to a tour.

Eyre Bus, Tour and Travel

This family-run company is a great option for groups like hiking or mountain bike clubs that would like to put their own twist on an Atlantic City junket. Want to spend the morning hiking in the Edwyn B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge or biking the Atlantic County Bikeway before hitting the casinos? Prefer to stay at the Birch Grove Park campground rather than a glitzy hotel? Eyre has tour planners who take your preferred itinerary and turn it into a full-service, customized bus tour.

Eyre also has regularly scheduled, pre-programmed overnight trips to Atlantic City with a stay and a dinner at the Tropicana.

Golden Ring Travel

Golden Ring also offers charter tours on its 47-passenger buses. And it has a seven-day-a-week, all-day Atlantic City casino tour with your choice of a drop-off at the Taj Mahal or Bally's.

The Taj Majal might be the more appealing of the two options for those who'd like to break up their day of gambling with some climbing. The Steel Pier amusement park, directly across the street from the casino, has a climbing wall among its attractions. Golden Ring's tour allows participants six hours on the ground in Atlantic City, so there's plenty of time for both amusement and gambling.

Superior Tours

The folks at Superior also have daily, one-day trips to Atlantic City, but they offer an option that allows passengers to make their own overnight plans and return to Baltimore another day for an extra charge. This alternative leaves open the possibility of sticking around and exploring the outdoors attractions right around Atlantic City, or even taking a side trip to someplace like Bass River State Forest, New Jersey's first forest conservation area, located 30 minutes north.

Superior's drop-off casino points include the Tropicana, Caesar's and the Hilton. The Hilton is the closest big-casino option to the AAAA Bike Shop, 1 ½ miles away on Ventnor Ave., which offers bike rentals for excursions along the famous 7 mile Boardwalk.
