Near Flushing Meadows

For a more budget-friendly option, choose guesthouses or hostels in the area. For instance, the NYC Guesthouse is a reasonable choice. It is a four-minute walk to the closest subway station, where the E, F, G, R, V and 7 trains run, therefore, it's a quick ride into midtown Manhattan. Further Afoot, but Still Nearby
If you can stay further afoot, Long Island City is a good choice for accommodations. The neighborhood has a wealth of restaurants and artist galleries that will keep you occupied on an urban hike. A good choice is the boutique hotel, Verve Hotel (formerly Clarion Collection). See a Mets game at the nearby Citi Field or take an urban hike around the shopping area close to the hotel. The area also has good restaurants and bars. The subway is only two blocks away so you can take a quick ride into Midtown Manhattan.
