The city of Columbus, Ohio offers adventure travelers and outdoor enthusiasts many trails, rivers and areas to explore. Racing fans will enjoy the National Trail Raceway and Scioto Downs, while golfers have many course choices, including the Longaberger Club and the Safari Golf Club at the Columbus Zoo. Hikers on the Cantwell Cliffs Loop may explore cliffs and caves. There is also the Conotton Creek Trail, a six-mile paved rail trail with beautiful fall foliage viewing. After a day of hiking, the city offers many options for entertainment, including music, drinks, dancing and a welcoming community for gays and lesbians.

Q Bar and Nightclub

The Q Bar and Nightclub is a gay and lesbian friendly night spot with different parties going on each evening and theme events for holidays. Saturdays feature football (when in season) with $2 domestic bottles and $6 pitchers. Sundays and Tuesdays feature karaoke with $10 buckets of beer and $3.50 vodka specials. Monday night is movie night, with free popcorn and pool, plus $2 well drinks. Wednesdays are 3D night with "Divas, Dick and Dance" and feature $4 cactus bowls. Enjoy mojitos for $4 and margaritas for $2 on Thursdays. Friday features a free happy hour buffet and $3 Long Island iced teas all day long. Happy hour is Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and dancing is Fridays and Saturdays after 11 p.m.

Park Street Tavern

The Park Street Tavern offers live local music in a comfortable, casual setting. A small stage and dance floor make bands seem up close and easy to hear. The bar serves many craft beers. Specialty nights include trivia on Mondays, a jazz jam session on Tuesdays, live acoustic music Wednesdays (plus $2 beers) and a local music showcase on Thursdays.

Columbus Funny Bone

The Columbus Funny Bone serves up nightly comedy with drinks and food. It has shows every night but Monday with two showings Wednesday and Friday and three on Saturday. The venue hosts familiar famous faces along with up-and-coming new comedians just starting out. It also hosts a comic search and has a rentable venue for corporate parties. There is a two-item minimum per person purchase. This may include beverages, food or merchandise.

Ruby Tuesday

Ruby Tuesday is open each day from 5 p.m. to 2:30 a.m., providing games, such as pool and arcade machines. The venue features local music and up-and-coming entertainers, improv comedy and more. Sundays feature NFL on the television. Mondays participants can play Wii bowling. Tuesdays is an open acoustic mic night and Wednesday features a local in-house band.
