The East Buffet and Restaurant

The East Buffet and Restaurant in the Flushing section of Queens is approximately three stories high and covers over 20,000 square feet. The restaurant is open for lunch Monday through Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and dinner from 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. It is divided into two setups: the dim sum palace and the Chinese serve-yourself buffet. The dim sum palace serves by the dish and prices are based accordingly. It offers an American cuisine highlighted by seafood, an assortment of salads and desserts. Conversely, the buffet continues with the seafood emphasis and adds Japanese sushi and shellfish. A liberal offering of cakes paints the dessert menu and soft drinks conclude the bill of $27.99 for dinner Monday through Thursday and $30.99 for dinner Friday through Sunday. Lunch prices are $14.99 Monday through Friday and $17.99 Saturday and Sunday. (Prices as of 2009.)

The Century Diner Buffet

Located in the Queens Village section, this establishment is ideal and spacious enough for family gatherings. Open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, the diner has a large selection of food from a variety of cultures: Chinese, Italian, German, American, Japanese, Filipino, Thai and Spanish. A television and DVD player are also available for diners. Prices are $8.99 for lunch Monday through Sunday, $15.99 for dinner Monday through Thursday, and $17.99 for dinner Friday through Sunday (as of 2009).

Khyber Indian Restaurant

Presenting a cozy family atmosphere, the Khyber Indian Restaurant offers vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. The special of the house is tandoori chicken. A lunch and dinner buffet typically consists of lentils, rice and chick peas. Prices range between $8 and $14. The restaurant is closed on Sundays and open Monday through Thursday 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday operating hours are 5:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
