French Lick, Indiana Inns & Hotels

The resort town of French Lick, Ind., is located in the south-central part of the state, about an hour's drive from Louisville, Ky. The town, named for the salt lick and hot springs there, has been a resort town since the late 19th century. Today, the town of around 1,900 residents hosts millions of visitors at its two resorts. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy golf courses, hiking and biking trails and touring the original mineral springs.

French Lick Resort and Casino

The French Lick Resort and Casino dates back to the late 19th century. Part of the current building was constructed in 1901. All of the property has been restored to its original grandeur. Facilities at the 443-room property include a swimming pool complex, a golf course, a spa, a fitness center, a shopping arcade, two restaurants and riding stables.

The resort's 51,000-square-foot casino is open 24 hours a day and boasts 1,300 slots, a poker area with thrice-weekly tournaments, 41 game tables and a high stakes area. High-speed Internet access is offered throughout the hotel.

The hotel is connected to the neighboring West Baden Springs Hotel (see below) via a complimentary shuttle bus.

West Baden Springs Hotel

The West Baden Springs Hotel, built in 1902, is a National Historic Landmark. The 243-room property is noted for its unique and dramatic 200-foot, domed atrium. All of the guest rooms are equipped with wireless Internet access, and many feature balconies overlooking the atrium.

Facilities at the hotel include a natorium that includes a lap pool, spa, salon and fitness center. There is also an outdoor pool complex, a shopping arcade and two restaurants.

The hotel is connected to the neighboring French Lick Hotel (see above) via a complimentary shuttle bus.

Comfort Suites Hotel

The 80-room Comfort Suites Hotel is an affordable option to staying at the French Lick or West Baden Springs hotels. Located within two miles of the casino, the all-non-smoking hotel offers guests a complimentary breakfast daily and free wireless Internet access.
