Military Discounts in Las Vegas Hotels

Military Discounts in Las Vegas Hotels
Though famous for the "Strip," a neon-lit parade of casinos, showgirls and attractions, Las Vegas is a great location for outdoor adventures and a short springboard to the Grand Canyon. Hotels on the strip can get pricey in season, but many offer military discounts to our brave service men and women, and many less pricey options off the strip make them especially good options for the budget-minded traveler.

The Las Vegas Marriott

The Las Vegas Marriott is conveniently located just two blocks from the Vegas strip and directly across from the Convention Center. The all-suite Las Vegas Marriott and all Marriott hotels (including the upscale Ritz-Carlton chain) offer discounts to currently active and retired U.S. Military personnel. Discounts vary; some are as high as 50 percent. Visit marriott.com for current rates.

The Luxor

The Luxor Hotel is easily identifiably as the pyramid hotel right on the Vegas strip. The Luxor offers a 20 percent discount to active military personnel on rooms and shows, such as Criss Angel and Carrot Top. Restrictions apply. Visit luxor.com for rates.

The Stratosphere

The Stratosphere Hotel features an observation tower over 100 stories above the Vegas strip with thrill rides (if you dare). Rooms are discounted 10 percent to active military personnel. Visit stratospherehotel.com for details.

Embassy Suites Las Vegas

Located adjacent to the Hard Rock Casino and UNLV, the Embassy Suites offers all-suite accommodations and complimentary happy hours. Active military and government employees receive discounted rates, which vary. Visit embassysuites.hilton.com for information and reservations.

Shows at the MGM

While rooms at the MGM hotel are not at this time discounted for military personnel, the chain does offer a 35 percent discount to active military personnel visiting its shows and attractions. MGM shows include the popular Cirque du Soleil's KA and the CSI Experience. Visit mgmgrand.com for tickets and show times.
