Nature lovers who have visited the Appalachian mountains know that at the Tennessee and North Carolina border lies the infinite beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Within its boundaries are more than 850 miles of hiking trails, 70 miles of the historic Appalachian Trail and miles of trout-filled streams. Just outside the northern edge of the national park lies the quaint village of Gatlinburg, Tenn. Its "downtown" main parkway lined with shops, attractions and restaurants presents a vast array of hotels. At least three of those lodgings possess elements that cater to the outdoor adventurer.

The Bearskin Lodge
