Fremont is an eclectic neighborhood in north Seattle, Washington. Its motto is "Free to be Peculiar," and its residents pride themselves on their diversity. It is rich with unique cuisine, and you can find everything there from vegetarian cafés to upscale restaurants. Fremont is less than five miles from jogging and bicycling trails at Discovery Park, and there are hiking trails and canoe excursions all along nearby Puget Sound.

Guests staying at The Westin Seattle can enjoy views of Puget Sound, and the Olympic and Cascade mountain ranges. The hotel has its own "Runner's World" maps to show the best walking, running and jogging routes. The Westin Seattle has a heated indoor swimming pool and a 24-hour gym. The rooms have cable television, a work desk, wireless high-speed Internet access, coffee maker and in-room safe. The Westin Seattle also has luxury suites and a presidential suite. The Coldwater Bar & Grill specializes in seafood, and it also has a raw bar. The University Inn is a small hotel with a seasonal outdoor pool, free wireless Internet access, complimentary breakfast and free guest laundry. The rooms have cable television, coffee makers and hair dryers. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to local attractions. The Portage Bay Café, serving organic cuisine, is open for breakfast, lunch and brunch. The University Inn also offers a "Breakfast to Go" for guests heading out for a day of sight-seeing.
