Harrah's is a Triple A four-diamond award winning property that's just one block up from the Timber Lodge on the Nevada side of Highway 50. This award tells guests that Harrah's has been evaluated in four areas, including its exterior, public areas, guestrooms and bathrooms, and has been found by Triple A to provide beautiful, clean, superior facilities. More than 140 TripAdvisor.com travelers also gave Harrah's a rating of four point five out of five stars. This hotel offers lovely views of the lake and mountains, and in the summer the hotel provides its guests with passes to a private beach that is about four blocks away. Harrah's also participates in a tram program that allows its guests to quickly access other parts of the lake, the slopes, the nearby retail centers, and the water, snow and bike rental shops. After a hard day on the slopes and trails, Harrah's has the perfect remedy, its Reflections Day Spa, which offers Swedish massages, Roman baths and a variety of skin, health and beauty treatments. Across from Harrah's is Harveys Resort & Casino, another of the South Shore's most desirable and top-rated hotels. Both hotels are owned by the Harrah's Entertainment Inc. and are connected via an underground walkway. Like its sister property, Harvey's is also a Triple A four-diamond award winning hotel. It has received an average of four out of five stars by 155 travel reviewers from TripAdvisor.com. The two hotels also share amenities, with Harrah's guests having access to Harvey's gym, lap pool and Jacuzzi, which are open year-round, and Harvey's guests having access to Harrah's indoor pool and special rates and Reflections Spa. Harvey's guests also receive passes to the private lakeside beach, and have a shuttle that will take them to popular recreational activities. Harvey's also contains a comparable gaming floor, along with some famous restaurants and entertainment venues, including the Hard Rock Cafe, Sammy Hagar's Cabo Wabo, the Improv and its famous summer concert series, which is held outside among the large pine trees. Nearly all of Harvey's 740 rooms are newly remodeled with modern decor.
