Just north of Soho, the Bowery Hotel, which opened in 2007, is a new addition to Greenwich Village. The interior was built to look old and majestic and has touches of modern art. The 14-story Hotel Gansevoort is known for its trendy decor and spacious rooms. All 187 rooms feature paintings by local New York artists. Larchmont Hotel

The Larchmont is a great fit if you are looking for inexpensive accommodations in Greenwich Village--as long as you don't mind sharing a bathroom. Lafayette House

The Lafayette House was a townhouse before it was converted into a boutique hotel. Despite its seemingly small size, the Lafayette House has spacious suites. They are so large that each room has the feel of a New York apartment. Some rooms even come with their own mini kitchens. Although the hotel does not have a restaurant, there is one next door to the hotel, called "B Bar," which provides room service to guests seven days a week
