Siam Cuisine- Thai Restaurant

When Siam Cuisine first opened its doors in the early 1980s, it was the only Thai restaurant in Chinatown. Today, almost 30 years later, Siam Cuisine is still seated in the heart of Chinatown and still features tasty pad Thai, fresh seafood and vegetables, tender chicken, and a variety of authentic Thai soups and desserts, including ice cream and homemade herbal cakes. Open seven days a week, Siam Cuisine offers a huge selection of affordable (entrees are $6 to $20), delicious meals that are sure to please everyone.

Rangoon Burmese Restaurant

The only Burmese restaurant in Philadelphia's Chinatown district, Rangoon Burmese Restaurant boasts an extensive menu full of traditional Burmese cuisine. From a variety of soups and entrees to the famous chili shrimp and layered bread dishes, Rangoon offers a unique dining experience for patrons who are familiar with Burmese food as well as those who may be trying it for the first time. Open for lunch and dinner, seven days a week, Rangoon also offers lunch deals and weekly chef specials. Featuring family sampler dinners, which include meal-sized portions for groups with at least four people, and wontons and spring rolls served with coconut, chili, and sesame sauces, Rangoon is a reasonably priced (expect to spend $4 to $19 per entrée), one-of-a-kind restaurant that is definitely worth a try.
