The Benson

In the midst of downtown, The Benson is a boutique hotel that has been recommended by "Conde Nast" magazine. There are several levels of rooms available at The Benson, from the standard guest room to the grand suite, which contains a fireplace, Jacuzzi and baby grand piano. In-room amenities include Tempur-Pedic Sleep Systems or pillow-top beds, cable TV, robes, slippers and umbrellas.

Skamania Lodge

In the middle of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, Skamania Lodge sits on 175 acres of land and offers more than four miles of hiking trails. Though the lodge sits 45 miles outside of downtown Portland, it is a popular spot for Portland visitors who love the outdoors. Skamania is only a short drive from 70 different waterfalls and has a U.S. Forest Service Information Center on-site.

The lodge offers a host of amenities, including a fitness center; full-service spa; 18-hole golf course; indoor heated swimming pool; and tennis, basketball and volleyball courts. There are free street bikes available to guests and two year-round dining options in the lodge, as well as a seasonal outdoor grill.
