Hotels Near the Port in Ushuaia, Argentina

Hotels Near the Port in Ushuaia, Argentina
Despite being the jumping-off point for trips to Antarctica, southern Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego National Park, Ushuaia is an unassuming little town at the bottom of the world. This little big city is roughly the size of Portland, Maine. Because it's a popular tourist destination most Ushuaia hotels aren't that far from the port, but the services they offer varies dramatically.

Hotel Canal de Beagle

This 58-room hotel is located just steps from the pier. Its amenities include a fitness center, spa services, restaurant and bar, business center and pool. It lacks some the sparkle many mega-hotels have but for comfort, reliability and location, it can't be beat.

Hotel Albatros

Just a block away from Hotel Canal de Beagle and adjacent to the port is the Hotel Albatros. It is known for cozy rooms and scenic restaurant. While most guest rooms don't overlook anything notable, some of the rooms on upper floors have water views.

Apart Hotel Cabo San Diego

Less than four blocks from the port is Hotel Cabo San Diego. Many of the hotels in Ushuaia are small and lack character, but this independently owned hotel is different. The rooms are spacious and clean and feature their own kitchenettes. It is located away the busy streets of downtown so late-night noise is uncommon.

Apart Hotel del Bosque

Situated five blocks from the pier, Hotel del Bosque is another apartment-style hotel with lots of space and kitchenettes. Although it is a bit farther from the port than Hotel Cabo San Diego, Hotel del Bosque has its own restaurant in case guests prefer not to cook.

Cilene del Faro Suites and Spa

For an upscale experience check out Cilene del Faro. It is located four blocks east of the port and each room has a view of the Beagle Channel or the Andes. The rooms are more spacious than most Ushuaia hotels and the contemporary design is smart and clean. The bar on the top floor of the hotel overlooks the water. Spa services, ski storage, parking and other amenities are available here.
