Gadsden Hotel
Considered to be "the last of the grand hotels," Gadsden Hotel is located in Douglas, Arizona, the center of the old Wild West and one mile from the Mexican border. First built in 1907 the hotel has been a popular destination for political figures including Eleanor Roosevelt, ranchers, businessmen and movie directors. The National Register of Historic Places named the hotel a National Historic Place in 1976.
Since 1991, several guests and workers have spotted a ghost wandering the halls and rooms of the hotel. This five-story hotel still consists of its original marble staircase, which survived a fire in 1929. The staircase is famous for Pancho Villa who supposedly rode his horse up the stairs before his assassination. After a day of hunting or horseback riding, guests can relax in the hotels tavern and restaurant, The El Conquistador Dining Room.

Hotel Congress
Built in 1919, the Hotel Congress with its vintage charm, is located in the center of Tucson. The hotel became widely known after criminal John Dillinger and his gang stayed on the third floor of the hotel to lay-low after their bank robberies.
Hotel Congress is a pet friendly hotel that is reminiscent of a bygone era. There are no TVs in any of the 40 rooms. You can relax after golfing or playing tennis in the hotel's nightly entertainment area, Club Congress. Guests can dance to live music or sit back with their favorite beverage.

Hotel San Carlos
Located in downtown Phoenix, the Hotel San Carlos is the only boutique hotel still in operation in the city. The hotel sits where Phoenix's first school was built in 1874. In 1916 the lot was bought to make a row of hotels and in 1928 Hotel San Carlos opened. The hotel still has many of the same features as it did 80 years ago including the marble in the lobby and water taps in the guest rooms. Hotel San Carlos is a Historic Hotels of America member.
Reserve a room in one of the five signature suites, each named after a Hollywood star who stayed at the hotel, such as Marilyn Monroe or Spencer Tracey. After visiting the Desert Botanical Garden or the Out of Africa Wildlife Park located minutes from the hotel, relaxing in a two-room suite is the best way to end the day.
