Hotels Close to the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas

Denton, Texas, home to the University of North Texas, could be considered the biggest "college town" in the North Texas area. There are other major colleges in the area, but none of them in small towns that were essentially built around the school. For those visiting the college who don't want to stay an hour's drive away in Dallas/Fort Worth, there are a number of chain hotels in the city.

Located at 3116 Bandera St near Interstate 35 and University Drive, the Howard Johnson Express Inn is just two miles from the UNT campus. In addition to free breakfasts and newspapers, pool and rooms with refrigerators, microwaves, coffee makers and cable TV, the hotel also allows pets for a $10 fee.

Quality Inn And Suites

The Quality Inn And Suites in Denton is a former Holiday Inn located at 1500 Dallas Drive near Denton's Golden Triangle Mall. It offers bus and truck parking, a picnic area, meeting room, pool, copy/fax service and is pet friendly, though some of these amenities may require an additional cost.
