Hogansburg New York Hotels
Hogansburg is in northern New York near the Canadian border. The village is part of both the town of Bombay and the St. Regis Mohawk Reservation. It is near the convergence of the St. Regis River and St. Lawrence Seaway.

Adirondack Region

Hogansburg, New York, is near the Adirondack region, which encompasses the famed Adirondack Mountains and hundreds of lakes, ponds, rivers and streams. At more than 6 million acres, it is the largest wilderness area east of the Mississippi River.

The Adirondack region offers many hiking and walking trails, which make up the nation's largest trail system. Trails lead to mountain summits, waterfalls and forest glades. Canoeing, kayaking and swimming are also popular activities.

If visitors choose to play in town, Hogansburg offers many other recreational opportunities as well.

Area Attractions

Hogansburg visitors will enjoy several local attractions and activities. The area is home to Titus Mountain, a ski lover's paradise. It is also an area rich in Native American culture and history.

Travelers shouldn't miss the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino and Akwesasne Museum. Visitors also can spend the day exploring the St. Regis Mohawk Indian Reservation.

After a moderate trip across the border into Canada, travelers can view St. Raphael's Ruins, the result of a fire that consumed one of the earliest Roman Catholic churches in Canada. The ruins, in Glengarry, Ontario, were declared a National Historic Site in 1999.

Although the small village of Hogansburg has few accommodations, two hotels are available.
