Beachfront Hotels in Sydney, Australia

Beachfront Hotels in Sydney, Australia
Australia's beaches are wildly popular surfing destinations. Sydney's Bondi Beach is one of Australia's most famous surfing beaches--its lifeguards even have their own television show. An outer suburb of Sydney, Bondi Beach is a vibrant mixture of pubs, cafes and surf shops. For a slightly quieter locale with the same surf excitement, consider Coogee Beach. The inner city's large hotels lack the laid-back surfer vibe, but fortunately, both Coogee and Bondi have a selection of cozy hostels for the budget-minded beach bum.

Bondi Beach House YHA

The Bondi Beach House YHA is a surfer's paradise. Bondi beach is in plain sight from the rooftop balcony lounge area. The YHA offers six-bed male or female dormitory-style rooms with shared bathrooms, kitchen and laundry facilities.

Guests have free access to heaps of outdoor sporting equipment, including snorkel gear, bodyboards and surfboards, and equipment for soccer, rugby, cricket and beach volleyball. Free nightly activities include didgeridoo lessons, barbecue nights, movie nights and a selection of free movies, cards and board games. A free shuttle to downtown Sydney operates during the week. YHA also operates hostels in downtown Sydney and Coogee Beach.

When calling outside of the U.S. or Canada, substitute "00" for "011."
