Weird Hotels in Arizona

Weird Hotels in Arizona
Whether it be an Old West setting that makes all sorts of ghost stories and gunfights come alive, an actual haunted hotel or setting up camp in a glorified trailer park, Arizona offers some weird hotels that make for great memories. Bring a camera or video camera to document the weird experiences you have just staying somewhere for the night.

Tucson: Hotel Congress

Stay in the famous historic landmark Hotel Congress, where infamous gunslinger and serial bank robber John Dillinger was captured on January 22, 1934. Built in 1919 the hotel boasts a lively history and is located in the heart of downtown Tucson, Arizona. Rooms feature iron beds, vintage radios and an operational switchboard. Just to make it a little more weird, the lobby features a tacky Southwest theme that doesn't feel like the rest of the hotel.

Bisbee: Shady Dell

Rest in your very own piece of vintage history at The Shady Dell. Instead of hotel rooms, the Dell rents out classic Airstream aluminum trailers manufactured as early as 1947. With only nine trailers available, book in advance to secure the trailer you want and the exact dates you are looking for. Enjoy the unique decoration of each trailer with authentic memorabilia meant to take you back to days long gone by. Be advised that children under the age of ten are not allowed at The Shady Dell, due to the fragile nature of the trailers.
